This is one of those must-do activities around Los Angeles: The LA River Tour!
This weekend, on Saturday, March 22 at 2:00 pm, Lila Higgins, Jenny Price and Kat Superfisky will lead a three hour walking tour of the river through the Glendale Narrows section. They will stop at locations like the Bowtie Parcel, Rio de Los Angeles State Park and Marsh Park. They will discuss revitalization efforts, political history, community impact, and more.

Lila Higgins runs the Citizen Science and Live Animal programs at the L.A. Natural History Museum. A Certified Interpretive Guide and Trainer, she has run PLAYshops for Disney’s Creative Academy.
Jenny Price is a public artist, writer, and historian, and has written extensively about the L.A. River--and has led tours and designed public art projects along its banks--since 2002. She's a co-founder of the public art collectives Urban Rangers and Project 51, and the author of "Thirteen Ways of Seeing Nature in L.A.".
Kat Superfisky, a Project Designer at Mia Lehrer + Associates landscape-architecture firm, wrote her master’s thesis on how to do public outreach on the L.A. River, and has a background in theater and dance as well as ecosystem management and educational program development.
